The topology and tabular interfaces streamline the change management process. Users can simply drag-and-drop a new service across their network and Security Change Manager will translate this high level, business policy change request into device-level instructions providing a simple, scalable model that can represent the most complex policies. Security Change Manager’s “Rules Engine” automatically optimizes, orders, inserts, checks rules for conflicts and pushes these generated security configurations to the network devices effected by the rule change, thus

Timed-Expiring Rules
Security Change Manager provides the ability to set rule expiration dates for any
rule (regardless of vendor device support). Engineers or policy auditors are alerted and can run reports on when rules will expire and who set or changed them. The project expired rules are reported when a project is open and reminded when the project is closed. Rules are not automatically removed, so that teams always have a chance to check if access is still required. This prevents “rule-creep”—the continuous adding, but never removing, of security rules.
VPN Management
Security Change Manager guarantees interoperability between multi-vendor VPN
products by calculating the parameters that all the VPN peers can meet to create
a VPN session.
